There are many ridiculous
things done by teachers who want to instill discipline in their
students. In this part of the world, we understand the saying 'spare the
rod, spoil the child' but then, some people go too far in dealing with
students.
In
this part of the world, teachers have weird ways of punishing students
without necessarily beating them. For those who schooled in this part of
the world, there are countless memories about the things done to them
by teachers.
In line with this, a Chinese teacher seems
to have gone way out of line with the steps he took in ensuring
students did not cheat in an examination. He did not bother spacing them
out like most teachers would; instead he had their heads covered in
papers so that they will not be able to look at their mates' books.
Now this is a new dimension in ensuring
students do not cheat; it is presumed to be a ridiculous approach too as
these pictures have gained popularity online with people wondering what
must have gone through the teacher's mind as he did this.
The
action of this middle school teacher in east China has led to a serious
controversy; it is almost impossible quelling the arguments that have
been generated because of this.
Asking students to wear newspaper hats for an exam seems unfair to some while many think it is a measure that can be adopted.
